These may look like an ordinary flavorful variety of Oreo cookies (Strawberry Milkshake Creme), but, understand me here, the package might as well say "CRACK!" in huge letters. Yep, they're like crack to me. Many commenters would agree.
Why am I blogging about it? Well, I discovered these a year (or two?) ago at one of our local grocery stores. When the bag was empty after not even two days, I thought to myself "Hmm?I might have a problem here?." I enjoyed these off and on for the next few, wonderful months. Suddenly, though, they were gone, just like that. To be fair, the packaging did say "Limited Edition," so I knew what was coming (before denial kicked in).
The withdrawal phase was tough. During that time, I learned that there's absolutely nothing wrong with curling up into the fetal position and crying at the grocery store. After some intense therapy, I pulled through. I had pretty much forgotten about them until a glance sighting tonight at the grocery store. I was walking down an aisle to get some unrelated items when a shimmer of light caught the corner of my eye. To put it in nerd terms, it was like rolling a 'nat 20? on my spot check.
Like any respectful addict, I instantly relapsed?. So, I've had a few tonight so far. HOWEVER, the bag is more than 3/4 full, so I'm quite proud of myself. I vow to not let crack take me again this year, but it is, after all, a long summer?
